I use digital illustration, photography,
graphic design, and video/motion design to draw connections between modes of creativity and their
potential to affect the real world. With my pieces, I like to spread awareness
about creatives’ work and draw attention to artistic methods for social change.
I typically accomplish this by exploring influential creative individuals as a subject matter. After
seeing my pieces, people will develop appreciation for the art world and will be
inspired to begin a discourse with people from different backgrounds.
I layer illustrations, photos, and
expressive typography to create my designs; I often work with contrasting sharp and organic
lines and shapes with the goal of bringing a distinctive nature to my illustrative design work. I prefer to draw from art history and graphic motifs to build powerful narratives, so that I can work to help develop empathy between diverse groups and a connection between everyone and the environment. Holistically, my pieces aim to bring engagement
with the art world and a sense of hope regarding development of a deeper social
understanding.
Currently, I am working to expand
my practice by including traditional and physical elements to add depth to my digital
pieces and introduce experimentation. I am also adding motion to my
design to make my work more captivating and draw attention to the social issues
I work to address.
